It is a very long sandy beach with clear water which is perfect for swimming, The beach has no waves as the island is protected by coral reefs.

9- Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve
It is a small island situated in the Mahebourg Bay located about 850 m off the south-east coast of Mauritius. The Ile aux Aigrettes is made up of coralline limestone which is different from the main land which is made up of Volcanic rocks.
The Island is characterized with the last remnants of dry coastal forest, once found around most of Mauritius. Although it is a beautiful place But Ile aux Aigrettes was affected by tree logging and land clearance.
