Intercity STC Bus started in 1909. It was the Government Transport Department. It served the central government. In 1965, it became a body corporate. This happened via Legislative Instrument (L.I) number 414.
The date was March 9, 1965. The goal was to run passenger services. It was then called the State Transport Corporation (STC). In January 1968, the government added a haulage division. This division handled dry and wet cargo.
Intercity STC Bus managed this bulk haulage division. It worked alongside the passenger division. In June 1995, STC Bus became a Limited Liability Company. This was under Ghana’s Companies Act, 1962 (Act 179).
It was renamed State Transport Company Limited. The company changed over time. Since October 2003, it's known as Intercity STC Coaches Limited.
Intercity STC Bus own a various types of bus and coaches, Most of their buses are Marcopolo powered by various engine like Scania and other type.
They have a well designed buses to offer travelers a unique experiences all the way to their destinations.
These buses features various on board Amenities and services. These includes reclining seats, Air Conditioner, Television and many more.
Intercity STC Bus company offer both domestic and international bus services to various cities in Ghana and some West African cities such as Abidjan, Cotonou Etc.
STC Domestic and International Operations
They offer daily bus transport between cities and towns in gahana. They also offer a well scheduled bus services to various countries in West Africa. Their stations are located in the regional capitals and cities of Ghana.
Their international stations are located in these countries : Cote D’lvoire, Benin, Burkina Faso and Togo. Niger and Nigeria will be operational soon.
STC Bus Student Transport Services
