Auric Air Services Ltd is Tanzania’s preferred corporate and safari airline with a wide network of domestic scheduled services.
From its bases at Mwanza Airport – Mwanza‚ Julius Nyerere International Airport – Dar-es-salaam and Arusha Airport‚ Auric provides scheduled flights to some of the most remote and otherwise inaccessible destinations within Tanzania.

The airline operates 15 aircraft consisting of Cessna Grand Caravans C208Bs and Cessna Grand Caravan EXs‚ a fleet which is amongst the youngest of Caravan fleets in this region.

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
The entire fleet is maintained by HAWK Aviation Limited‚ which is based at Wilson Airport and is approved by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority‚ the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority and the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.
All licensed engineers in charge of maintaining the aircraft have attended aircraft type approved courses and have considerable practical experience.
In addition‚ Auric Air employs aircraft technicians who liaise between the pilots and the maintenance facilities and coordinate refueling of the aircraft and their movement on the airport apron.
FLIGHT OPERATIONS
Auric operates under an Air Operators Certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority who carries out a detailed annual audit of the company’s operations and related documentation and also carries out ramp spot-checks.
Besides the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority‚ the company’s flight operations department is audited annually by HART Aviation of Australia and also by the Flight Safety Foundation’s BARS Program. From it’s hub in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Auric Air provides scheduled flights to the most remote destinations within Tanzania, including:
Arusha, Bukoba, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Entebbe, Ifakara, Iringa, Katavi, Kigoma, Mafia Island, Mahale, Mbeya, Morogoro, Mpanda, Mwanza, Pemba Island, Rubondo Island, Serengeti, Songea, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Zanzibar.
Auric today provides daily scheduled services to over 30 destinations. The airline operates 13 aircraft consisting of Cessna Grand Caravans C208Bs and Cessna Grand Caravan EXs, a fleet which is the youngest of Caravan fleets in this region.
All of Auric Air ‘s aircraft are well equipped with the Glass cockpit and optional state of the art avionics including the latest in traffic terrain avoidance systems, in order to enhance safety.
Auric Baggage Allowance:
4. The total baggage allowance for each passenger, inclusive of hand baggage, cameras, filming equipment and any other personal item including loose clothing items, is 20kgs (44lbs) per passenger.
Excess baggage will only be carried, at the sole discretion of the Captain of the aircraft, if the payload of the aircraft and/or space permits and will be charged at the prevailing rate for carriage of freight.
If Auric Air passengers anticipate they will have excess baggage, it is recommended that they book a “freight” seat at a child fare, which permits confirmed carriage of an extra 75kgs.
Captain of the aircraft may weigh the bags at airstrips, excess baggage can only be allowed at the Captains sole decision based on aircrafts capacity. It is highly recommended to carry soft duffle bags.
