Naekana Sacco Route 134 Society Limited Is a Matatu company which was started in 1970’s where it operated Peugeot as the mode of transport in Kenya.
During the 1990’s, a group of members formed an organization called Namanga Nissan Services operating Nissan QD’s.
The company is one of the longest serving matatu operators in the country, having been in operation for more than 4 decades.
In early 2000 a group of 27 members came up with an idea of forming Naekana Sacco and on 28th November 2003.
It was officially registered as Naekana Route 134 Sacco Society Limited under the Ministry of Marketing and Co-Opeartive Development.
The members developed a culture of saving to improve their livelihoods. The Sacco has a fleet of 260 vehicles and Counting.

All of their Vehicles are newly imported from Japan and other countries, They have their workshop for routine maintenance of their vehicles.

The Sacco also also offers savings and loan services to its members. According to the company website, the Sacco has recorded in excess of Ksh155 million in member deposits.
Naekana Sacco offers long term, emergency, development and normal loans to their members. The sum of the loan is dependent on the amount of savings.
