Tshwane Bus Service Rapid Transit (Pty) Ltd is a corporate legal entity in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, as amended, responsible for rapid bus services within the City of Tshwane and surrounding areas.

It is a government initiative aimed at transforming public transport and dramatically improve commuters’ experience of mobility.

BRT is a high-quality bus-based transit system that delivers fast, comfortable, and cost-effective urban mobility through the use of segregated right-of-way infrastructure, rapid and frequent operations, and excellence customer service.

What Is Tshwane Bus Service Routes And Timetable?

The bus routes are introduced clockwise from Colbyn, Church Street East onwards in the bus time-table.

The reason for the composition of the bus time-table in this format, is that passengers have a variety of bus routes which travel in the same direction.

Do They Have Connector Card And Bus Hire Service?

Tshwane Bus Service uses an electronic system for payment of the service. You need to get a Connector Card  in order to use any of our buses.

This method, which is also used by the metro’s Tshwane Rapid Transit, A Re Yeng provides for an integrated travel card that can be used on both systems.

The company Connector card can be bought and loaded at Sammy Marks Customer Care; Church Square; and any A Re Yeng station.

With the new travel card, commuters will be able to load travel points at any cash-accepting Absa ATM.

Tshwane Bus Service Commuters will also be able to use the new card as a debit card (e-money) to make low-value purchases (maximum R200 per transaction) at retail outlets. The EMV card can store both travel points and e-money.

Where They Have Service Stations And Stops?

The memory box and the retro tram. The memory box stations are located in the CBD along Paul Kruger and Nana Sita Street. This concept includes imagery and information relating to the historic buildings located in the vicinity.

​​The closed ticketing system of the trunk service requires an enclosed station that allows for passenger transfer between routes and reduces fare evasion.
